Premium Tutorial: Deluxe Zipper Technique for Faux Fur

Learn how to make beautifully finished and well-hidden zippers in faux fur! Great for fursuit or cosplay costumes. The technique also helps prevent fur getting stuck in the zipper so its easier to zip & unzip swiftly! Useful for creating hidden transitions for zip-on tails, zip-on footpaws, zip-on handpaws and other features.

Utilize large-toothed zippers that can be hidden completely in the fur. This deluxe technique results in a nice durable zipper, fully hidden underneath the fur's pile with a durable flap that helps keep the fur out of the zipper track.

The advantage to this technique is not only the finish level you get as the end result, but the ease in which you can position your fur to hide a zipper underneath, as well as the advantage of fur having less of a chance to wear out on the edge or the fibers tangling in your zipper's teeth.

This technique makes use of a sewing machine to install a zipper. It includes both editions of the guide. The 1st edition which is a 12-page tutorial. And the Updated edition which is a more detailed and diagram-filled 21-page tutorial. with step-by-step instructions. Tutorial text is written in English. Materials needed for this project

• Large-toothed zipper (such as a parka, jacket, or a coil zipper. Plastic teeth are preferred)

• Faux fur

• Rip-stop nylon or other matching fabric for the zipper flap

• Pins and/or clips

• Sewing machine & matching thread

• Scissors

• Comb or Slicker Brush
